Italian golfer Lorenzo Sartori has defeated the continent’s leading amateurs at Estonian Golf and Country Club to win the European Golf Association’s (EGA) International European Seniors' Championships 2013. In women's the tournament was won by Helene Maxe from Sweden.

Thursday in Jõelähtme, at Estonian Golf & Country Club, the International European Seniors' Championships 2013 started. The first day was favoured for german golfers Hans-Hubert Giesen and Christoph Städler holding the first position with 69 shots.

We have opened the Sea Course on 1st of May. Considering the long winter, Sea Course is in a really good condition. The green covers have been used, to help the grass grow faster and this has already shown a good result. The damage from winter is minimum and eventually the course starts to look greener each day.
